Anybody ever front clip a '61 88?
Totally dissatisfied with the front end of my '61 (brakes, steering, susp) Anybody ever clip theirs?
The caprice seems it may be a good choice, very similar track width, wheel bolt pattern, perimeter style frame, parts availablility.
Any thoughts?

I think your talking about piecing the front of a disc brake car frame to the frame of your 1961. I haven't seen your year but I did see a 1965 Starfire that had a 73-77 Cutlass front frame pieced in. The frame was spliced at the firewall area, everything forward was Cutlass frame. This was 12 to 14 years ago at the Dick Miller meet at Norwalk, Ohio. He did it so he could run after market headers. He didn't have inner fender wells (less weight). He said it wasn't that hard.
He said cut them and line everything up and a welder friend came over and a couple hours it was done. The car was lightened everywhere and ran low 12's as I recall. His wife drove it (I recall her, she was a blonde
). They were from W.Va. and I never saw the grey Starfire again. Ken

Pretty sure it was the 77-85 Delta 88 frame. Check the wheelbases to see if they are close. Although '65 was a different frame, the 73-77 Cutlass front clip mentioned is the same as the 77-85 Delta, they pretty much reused the entire frame.
