Alternator Info... Identification

After a few alternator threads, I looked at a few I had laying around that I wanted to use for a '65.

a few questions...
1. Is there a place to look up AC Delco parts #'s?
2. How many AC Delco plants were there, and did they have slight differences between models?
3. What's the threaded hole that shows up on the '64 Alternator pictured? (I've seen this on later models as well)
4. Were the fins/fan design specific to amp, or year?
5. Were these used all across the GM platform? (I've seen #1100700 say it's for a 67 firebird...but has a 64 date code)

Thanks for any help or discussion!

Alternator info

That threaded hole on one of them is for a Chevy lower bracket am of belief. Mass rebuilders have “mixed and matched” cases over the years. Yep I’d like to find a comprehensive list, myself, am guessing there’s probably over a thousand numbers for 10DN and 12SI cases alone.
