How do I wire a one wire alternator in my 81 Cutlass? Where do all the wires go?

All the one wire[s]? Really?

I would guess to the battery. Where the electricity is stored.

Why do you want to do a one wire alternator?

Well, the 1 wire alternator setup is suppose to work and be cleaner. But there have been threads discussing it, and there are problems with that setup. I used the search option and couldn't find the specific thread I had in mind, but here's one that might give you some information to consider.

Considering that your car is already wired for a stock three wire alternator, why do you want to change to the crappy one-wire versions. Once again, GM is not in the habit of installing MORE parts than needed when they build cars, yet they use the three-wire alternator from the factory because it works better. The one-wire system is not found in nature - it was NEVER factory-installed, and there's a reason for that. It may work fine on tractors that operate for hours at a constant RPM, but it is not your best choice for a street-driven car that operates overa a wide range of RPMs. If you are looking to increase alternator output, just buy a stock three-wire version with higher output. It will plug right in to your existing system.
