Advice on Parts Cleaning Fluids

Looking for a cleaning solution for home use in a pump fed parts washer, preferably biodegradable and easy to dispose responsibly.

Some of the items will be aluminum.

Thoughts...experience?

Thanks!!!

I've had surprisingly good results with Grez-Off. It's a water-based cleaner yet still dissolves grease easily. I get five gallon pails from NAPA. Of course, the best degreaser for iron and steel parts is still the cheapest foaming oven cleaner you can buy at WalMart. Just don't use on non-ferrous metals or any paint that you care about.
