Ac programmer

Today the shop helping restore my 69 Toronado told me that they had ordered a new AC Programmer and they wanted me to help find a new electrical connector to it because the one there was damaged. First, I will show my ignorance and admit that I have no clue what an AC Programmer is, where it is located and what it does much less where to look for a new electrical connector. I do have a one clue becuase there is a core charge on the programmer. Could someone enlighten me on this task I have been given?

Is it a Comfortron car? Those are the only ones with programmers (actually called power servo), and I was truthfully unaware they were still available reconditioned.

It will be underhood on top of the airconditioning box on the firewall, about midway across and will have vacuum and electrical plugs on it.

Mitch, do you have a 1969 Olds Chassis Manual yet?

I'll have to go out in the county and look underhood on mine to answer your question about the wire straps. I was thinking they were plastic...

AC Programmer

Raider,
Yes it is comfortron car and the cost of the reburb unit was $199 to $100 core charge. We got it from

http://www.usapartssupply.com/olds.php

On the Chassis manual question I have ordered both a Chassis manual and a Fisher Body manual on DVD and am waiting on it.
On the strap question, I'll be going by the shop later today so I will take a picture and check to see if it is plastic or metal with rubber coating.
