AACA Eastern Spring Meet

located in Canandaigua, New York on June 3rd thru the 5th.
I just got my registration in, but for my Cougar as the Olds isn't really able to be shown at that kind of meet.
Anyone here going?????
Would be nice to meet fellow members from here.
I'm betting that I'll have the only '69 Cougar Conertible there.

Donno 'bout that John- Cougars have become kinda popular even here in southern Vajenya- a buddy of mine has both a 67 and 68 XR7-GT plus a 71 plain jane coupe he's had since he was 17. There's an Eliminator here too, and I've seen a 70 convert at a cruisenight about 60 miles north of here. That was also the cruise night that 64 (mine), 65, and 66 (my buddy's) Starfires showed up and we managed to get 'em parked together, along with a 65 Catalina 2+2, a 65 Impala SS and a 67 Caprice. How's that for mid-sixties B-body GM royalty all parked side by side? All we needed was a Wildcat... Once people realised what they were seeing, that row became pretty popular. And all 6 were bone stock- not even a set of Chevy rally wheels on the Chevrolets.

I've been in AACA 21 years and have yet to show a car in more than a local chapter's show. Just never has worked out time-wise to do one of the big meets, and I no longer have the initiative for it. I want to go to the show in Roanoke VA in August as a spectator, provided my job doesn't screw up my vacation the way it did twice last year. Getting called back in off vacation is getting damned old.

Cougars are pretty scarce around here. More 67 & 68's than anything else. That and a few 70's. A friend owns a 70 drop top, and another owns two 69 XR7 hard tops. But no other 69 verts that I know of. It would be nice to see what gets trailered in from out of the area though.

On the bright side, there are a LOT of Oldsmobiles in this area.
