I just noticed a rare bird 79 Cutlass Supreme 260 V8 with T Tops, bucket seats and the T5 Borg Warner manual trans in pretty rough condition but the guy is only asking 300 bucks! It's on Long Island New York Craigslist. Someone go get this car and save it. If it was a diesel, I would have taken it as you know how I like the Diesels. At 300, there is not much to think about. I thought it should be posted here under General Discussion so everyone can see it. The parts alone must be worth it?

I talked with the guy. It's been in his family since new, a special order car and he has paperwork with the car. If that frame and floors are still ok, this has to be the deal of the day. 300? Unreal. He just wants to see the car saved and not parted out.

 

A sawsall and a plasma torch are in it's future.
Ok...just pick it up and watch it crumble.

If I wasn't presently trying to downsize my fleet/inventory, I would have considered it... If for no other reason then to salvage the necessary items for a T5 conversion to any other A/G-Body...

 

FYI, it's not a T5. It's a T50, which is possibly the only five speed manual trans that's WEAKER than a T5.

 

Too late to the game. Must've been sold already. I seriously would've considered buying it just for spare parts for my 78 5 speed car. I needed the damn shifter ****!!!
