76 442 w/factory 455 Value?

Thinking about checking out a 76 442 with factory 455. It has the T in the VIN to show it is a factory 455 car and the car is complete. It has rust at the bottom of the rear quarters and just a small amount in front fenders. Not sure about other rust but there is probably more hidden. I looked it up and found that only 143 76 442's came with the 455 so they are obviously rare but does that help the value considerably over a small block car? The car is definitely restorable, so what is the true value range on a car like this?

Where did you look up production for a '76 442 with a 455?

One place was the 73-77 forum and it had the same 143 number somewhere else but not sure where. Is that an incorrect number?

Maybe here? I have seen Ken's car and documents. I believe he represents his car properly. I don't however have any link or source information to production numbers of that car.

Orange442 - If it was my car, I'd definitely restore it. I know that 455's weren't common occurrences in 76 A Body production, and IMO it's definitely worth more than the average 442 of that era.

Nice find. I was wondering if another data base showed up! Ken is beyond reproach.

Scope out the rear bumper CLOSELY. They are a known rust trouble spot on those cars. I had a 76 Salon and the damn thing fell off on me. I can't tell you how many 76/77 2dr cutlass' I saw either missing the rear bumper, dragging it sideways or had a wooden plank in place of it because the bumper support that bolts to the car just rotted away.

It's hard to say what it's worth without seeing it and having more info like options, milage, running and overall condition. Can you get some pics and more info ?
