Is "The 73-77 Olds Forums" Defunct?

I just tried to post on The 73-77 Olds Forums and I had problems. Yes, I was logged-in. Take a look and tell me what I am doing wrong or if the site is closed: http://www.73-77olds.com/forums/index.php

I could read all of the existing posts, but I could not make one of my own and the main page seems to "display funny".

Not really sure what the issue is, but I just started this thread as a test bed.

I thought Dennis ran that board and he passed away in 2018 or 2019.

Randy and Mike,

I did successfully post on there some hours ago after I read your post, Randy. Thanks for the input; I hope that Dennis is still with us, Mike.

Dennis didn't run the site, I don't believe he was ever a moderator. He did (still does?) have the top post count. He was very knowledgeable on the 73 H/O 's and liked the long roofs. I was not a close friend, i knew him for many years. I bought parts off him and had good comrodery over the forum.....RIP brother. The site was started by a guy named Keith And last I knew moderated by Joe 73 Hurstolds. It will be a shame if it goes away, the 73-77 enthusiasts are a small group. The 73's have gained some respect, I've owned several 76-77's since 1979 and they have never gotten any love....i like em. I had a few older A bodies over that 40+ year time frame I wish I had back for sure.

I agree that the '73-'77 forum needs to survive; while I (obviously) don't visit frequently, it has certainly helped me to address many "Colonnade issues" for the past several years.

I have been trying to log on there for a while. I am going to miss it, if it is gone. Maybe we could get a section on here devoted to the '73-'77 models??

It looks like it's a ghost town. The only thread to have any activity is one that I started in January just to see if the site was working.

It's still being hosted, but it's essentially dead.

The site has been gibberish for months and keith won't do anything about it, or turn it over to anyone else.
I invested a bit of time there as I've owned a bunch of 73-77's, losing the trial and error stuff like rewiring for ralley packs will be a loss.
