72 Wheels

Hoping to get body work done on my 72 4 door next year. Currently it has just steel rims with Olds hubcaps. I would like to find a set of Olds rally rims for when she is done but I know there are different types like SII & SIII. What would fit a 72 cutlass?

any of those will fit

SSII is only designates that it is argent grey colored. SSIII is painted body color. Typically by 72 most rims were painted body color. Do a search on wheels on this site and you will learn a bunch. Basically the cheapest route to go is 14x7 with a snap on center cap - they are a dime a dozen. But I'd recommend trying to find a 15 inch rim - still fairly cheap. Most of those will have a snap-on center piece as well, the 15x7 bolt on center cap rim is much harder to find and more expensive.

What Steven said ^^^. I just checked the Calgary Pick n Pull. They have a 75 and 86 Cutlass there right now. Don't know if they have the SSIII's on them. If you're lucky the 75 will have 15" SS's. The 86 is most likely going to have 14". Both 14/15 have the same bolt pattern as what you have on the car now.

If you decide to go with the snap on caps, I believe I have spares (used but really decent condition) and I also have the bezels that go in the openings if you need them too.

The pick n pull price for these steel rally wheels is around 12.00 + tax. So you can get a great buy on them, clean them up/ paint and make that car look awesome.

Also buying the 15 inchers your tire choices expand, raised whites in 14" are getting scarce like 2 or 3 choices!

15" is my first choice as well. If I can get to pnp before this weekend (getting married) I will check out that 75.

Hey! Congratulations my friend!! When I met you at the show, I thought that was your wife with you...I think you just hit a home run. A car guy who is marrying a woman who is also a car gal

No worries on the wheels. If they aren't at the Calgary PNP, I'll keep an eye peeled for them up here.

I have 6 15" SSIII's with snap on center caps and trim rings to match. I just want the space in my garage. If you don't mind shipping they're yours for free.

I thought some big cars had 5X5" hole pattern.
