7111 intake?

Hi guys,

I just purchased a Edelbrock 7111 rpm intake for my 330 at a great price $140, Has anyone had sucess with this combo? I would also add Cam and lifters if I were to drop it in. Any thoughts?

Also does anyone know were I can find the intake bolts 3/8"x2"?

thx

I used a 7111 on my 65 330 for about 6 months before I got my 350 built. I used an 80457 Holley 600 on it and it work great, had no problems at all except for the air cleaner was too tall but I used a 14" drop base air cleaner and used my stock top on the top and that cured that problem and looks almost stock.

3/8-16 x 2 bolts can be found at any hardware store or a bolt/fastener store. I'd use a grade 5.

Don't forget that 2 of the bolts on the passenger side require a 12 point small head for clearance, they are very close to the manifold runners. A new Performer RPM comes with the 2 special bolts......

I just added the intake nothing else. My original carb was leaking and I knew I was building a new engine so I just used the intake/carb I was going to use on the 350 and it worked fine. That 7111 only has about 2/3 size runners at the port compared to the ports in the heads because they are designed to work with Edelbrock heads and I think thats why they work fine on stock engines.
