I have a Tamraz rear bumper on my 72. Fit and finish is flawless.

What brand did they send you? I ordered what they had listed as Goldenstar for my 1970 442 rear bumper but they sent me AMD. Finish is good but not great. Body shop said it took some tweaking to fit nice.

I bought a Tamraz bumper for my 70 442 about 4 or 5 months ago. I was leery of aftermarket bumpers from comments I had seen here but their listing stated it was brand new tooling, great chrome, concours quality, yadda, yadda, yadda. I did not open the box when I received it (big mistake) but did last night as it was time to load it up with all the lights, etc.

The quality is awful! there are actually "waves" in the steel. It's really hard to get decent pic of it but I think that the attached phot shows some of it pretty well. Of course, the worst part of it is in the upper part of the blade, just left of center above the license plate area where it is the most visible.

I'm not sure I would even use it on a daily driver. Given how long I've had it, i don't expect that they are going to do anything about it. I guess it will just become another piece of wall art. At this point, I'm sure i have well over $1,000 in bad repop parts that can't be used. Really frustrating.

Bottom line, if you buy the Tamraz bumper ( I won't ever buy anything form them again) take it out of the box and check it out right away.

Should have mentioned that it was an AMD bumper since it appears that Tameaz has several different suppliers.

Like I said in a different thread, I bought a Goldenstar bumper from Tamraz and it arrived about 2 weeks ago. I can't speak yet for the fitment (I will not be putting it on until spring), but the finish on mine is very nice with no waves. Do I expect perfect quality on a $285 repop? No. But the quality appears great for my driver. Especially when I can't afford $1000 to rechrome the original.

As previously stated, I have not put it on yet, so I might just be cursing them come spring.

Best always check something ordered to verify it is what it is supposed to be and for any other issues.

I know, I know.

But the fall is my busy time. Besides work, I coach soccer, am involved in my son's boy scout troop, and all the other around the house "honey-do's", I'm swamped 6 and sometimes 7 days a week. Coupled with that I'll be putting my Olds into storage come November.

With my little bit of time off, I'M TOP DOWN AND DRIVING.
