70 trunk lid interchangeable?

Is the trunk lid on a 70 post car interchangeable with a 70 Hard Top?

Thanks!

If it's a fastback hardtop (Holiday Coupe), yes. If it's a Cutlass Supreme hardtop, no. There were three different trunk lids used for 1970-72, the Sport Coupe and fastback Holiday Coupe (the xx77 and xx87 body styles), the Supreme Holiday Coupe (the xx57 body style), and the convertible and four door. Yes, the convert and four door use the same trunklid, which is why you see so many "convertible" trunklids for sale.

Back in 1992 when I was fixing up a '70 Cutlass convertible that had been hit in the rear, I asked at a local junkyard if they had a 4 door trunk lid (figuring they'd not only be more plentiful, but it might be less money to boot) and the guy looked at me and said "its for a convertible, right?"

They didn't have one, actually no local yard did, and ultimatley a friend modified one from a Supreme coupe (rounding the edges). Looked pretty good too.
