70 OAI Hood

I have a 70 OAI hood on my 69 442. I have been told that it is an original and was wondering if there is any way I could find out for sure. The top is fiberglass and bottom has a metal frame and it has been on the car for at least 25 yaers. Thanks, Rob

If it is metal with fiberglass top, and 25 years old,I would say it is orignal. As far as I know, Thorten is the first and only one repoducing them. And I don't think they have been doing it for that many years.

Does the catch on the hood look like it was modified or factory made for a 69? I belive Thornton made a hood to fit the 69's with the correct 69 nail type latch.
