the 70 71 72 fuel tank sending unit are a derict fit for the 65-70 model and they cost about 30 dollars new on ebay only problem you may have is when you speed up the gage goes down and hit brakes goes to full but for thirty dollars cant beat it

Contact RockAuto.com.....and buy the Spectra Premium brand tank for your car. I believe you need the GM34Q for a '70. NOTE: their website may not show it but I've been in contact with them and they are supposed to correct their site to show the tank as being available. You can always call them instead of going through the net.

These are the good quality, Canadian-made tanks and they are like the originals. Their prices are the best and their shipping charges are VERY reasonable...you can really get hammered on shipping charges for these tanks depending on who you buy it from.

These tanks are under hundreds, if not thousands of nicely restored GM A-body cars....by far the best available.

RockAuto also sells the sending units I believe.

I recently bought my second tank from Rock Auto. Great units! Use the 5% discount code, and with shipping it will be approx $150.
The spectra 3/8" sending unit leaves a bit to be desired. I'm sure it will work just fine, but the tubes are not mandrel bent. They can't possibly flow as well as they should.
