Are the frame to bumper brackets interchangeable between these years on Cutlass?

 

As far as I know, Yes
I believe earlier (68 or 69) may even be specific to 442 due to exhaust hangers but its something I was told and can't verify.

 

Hi Scrappie, yes, I know about the rear for the 442. It's just a small hole for the hanger back there I believe.
I have a friend needing some for a 72 an I had some for a 70 but needed to confirm. Wondering about the fronts as well.
I also wanted to know if the front bracket 'tube' braces were the same too. Hopefully someone knows for sure.

I would think since the fenders and quarters are interchangeable along with bumpers themselves, then the brackets would be too? I have both 70 & 71 ASMs and would look up part #s if this needs more clarification but maybe someone else will chime in and verify?

 

I know the 71-72 are the same but the 70 I'm not so sure. Hopefully some one knows for sure.
The problem is, he doesn't have any with his project to compare with the ones I have.

 

The rear bumper brackets are the same for 1970-72. The front bumper brackets have different part numbers for 1970 vs. 71-72.

I know for sure the rear bumper brackets are. I put a 70 cutlass bumper on a 71 without changing anything.
