70 350 AT/AC TCS solenoid location/bracket
Where is the correct location/orientation for the TCS solenoid/bracket for a 70 350 AT A/C 4 brl?. The Eng assembly book shows the bracket secured with a nut to the intake beside the carb... Mine is secure with bolt to the A/C bracket ahead of the carb. I will assume mine is incorrect. I just don’t see a stud for a nut beside the carb on the intake. Anyone have pictures of their 350 with the solenoid properly secured and positioned.
thanks

Look in your engine assembly manual and you'll see that one of the intake manifold bolts on that side of the engine has a stud top. the TCS bracket slides over that stud, and the nut holds it down.
Those original bolt-studs are hard to find. Best to look in a junk yard.

The stud/nut goes into the intake attaching bolt hole that's located immediately forward of the P side heat riser passage on your intake. This stud/nut is used in that position instead of the regular bolts that are in the other holes. 350 cars use a slightly different shaped mounting bracket vs. 455's but it sounds like you may still have your original bracket anyway.
You should be able to figure out the orientation if your bracket is original...do you have a camera??
