'69 442 on "The Mentalist"

Anybody catch the beautiful '69 442 on "the Mentalist" TV show the other night? It was a Red (w/ White W42 hood stripes) convertible and Red interior. Only a few minutes onscreen but looked to be very nicely done. Owner on here perhaps? Love that show too BTW.

Not only caught it but noticed "Cho" said it was a "'68 Olds". I'm so disappointed that they didn't do their homework. The kid on there said it had a four barrel, dual exhaust and Edelbrock.
Nice looking ride though....

They definitely don't know their cars on TV shows or the movies. The new show "Vegas" is set in 1960 Las Vegas, but it has lots of cars driving around that are into the mid 60s. Maybe Vegas got the cars a few years early back then.

I didn't see it yet - I record The Mentalist. I love the show too. Now they moved it to Sunday nights, I can't watch it. Wish they'd leave things alone. I can't wait to see the car!!

Yeah, big discussion about this over on the AACA forum. I noticed a 63 Olds full size on the show last week or so. My bigger problem is that the Vegas show seems to destroy an average of one old car per episode.

This happens all the time with movies and it makes me wonder if anything is true whan they cant get something as ssimple as the correct year of car right!
68-69 someone during filming had to know what year the car was.

I heard Cho say 'something' "...Olds" but I didn't think he said '68. I thought he said something like 'sweet Olds' or 'sick Olds'.
