Those who have a '69 Cutlass/442 and put on the OAI hood, PM me I have some questions.

Gene this is Harv. I do not have a 69, but I have seen two with them on. One was a fiberglass one, and it fit terrible, sat to high along the fenders, not sure if bad hood or bad fitting.

What I want to know is what hood mldg's did they use. This hood fits good, but the '69 mldg's do not sit flush. The '70 mldg's are to long. The hood needs a recess in the hood to fit flush. What have others done?

I never look that close, I just assumed they were 69. Next time I see one I will look closer.

I have done it with a factory hood. I used the 69 hood moldings and tooth and it all fit well. Since the hood latch is diifferent I just used the secondary release and the two hood pins and it worked fine. ,
