68 Cutlass Convertible Window Felt

Anyone got a picture of the original round bead outer rear quarter window felt for a 68 Cutlass convertible they could send me or post in reply? I have purchased new Repops stuff which is way off and I'd like to see how the original was cut/shaped on the rear end of the piece to fit in the convertible top trim. Thanks.

I remember that I had to cut the rear of the piece to fit under the pinch weld molding and it never fit quite right. I searched everywhere for a pic of it on the totally original 68 convertible I parted out 15 years ago and I don't have one pic of that area

I just measured the driver side. Looks like it’s 16 and3/4” long overall. And the notch is about 5/8” deep

There are new repros out there that have the rounded factory edge versus the early repros that were cut with what looks like side cutters.Ill try to dig my OEMs out. Hafta put a search on.

68 Cutlass Convertible Window Felt

Thanks for the pictures. Yours looks like reproduction pieces. Factory stuff has the round bead verses the flat. Looks like yours has been modified. Really would like to see pictures of an original piece off car with some measurements and close up of how the rear part is cut to fit top molding. Might help some others. Here are a few pictures Repops Authentic round bead pieces I just got

Radius looks better on this round verses flat i had before

Lined up in slots but way to long

Even if bead were shorter bottom of felt still would not position right without mods
These are my second set. First was the reproduction flat chrome part number which was complete junk and not even usable without hacking it up. I called them and the said they made authentic round bead and they sent me the outers only. They are what is pictured. How hard could it be to actually manufacture the stuff fit the car it is suppose to fit. Guess I need to post this under the parts that don't fit. Anybody use another brand that actually fits with zero mods?
