68 to 72 notched valve covers ???

Are all the notched valve covers the same form 68 to 72??
I'm assuming that they were only used on 68 to 72 442's or A bodys that had the big block like 72 Cutlass SX

Yes, the notched covers are all the same. Although in 1967 they used notched on just one side.

Yes, the same. But the SX was only in 70 and 71

ANY BBO in an A-body (including Vista Cruisers) got a driver side notched cover in 1967 and both sides notched in 1968-72. Think about this - all A-body cars in a given year are dimensionally the same under the hood. Why would you need them only on 442s and not any other car with a BBO?

(Yeah, go ahead, insert offset engine joke here...)
