Does anyone know if a set of 68 bucket seats in a 69 cutlass can have the seat back releases changed to the 69 style. I know there are different latch systems, but can the seat frames be used if the seat back and latch assemblies are changed?

67 68 seats are harder to find than 69-72 why not find the right seats?

 

There are a handful of minor differences... I mean, anything CAN be done... but I would find the right seat frames and make your life easier. The '69-up seat frames will also have two bump stops (since the '68 latch acts as one)... I think the clips for the seat backs are screwed in on '68 vs being integral on '69-up... can't remember what else.
