Any ideas on what one would be worth.

And yet again, let's not confuse asking price with actual selling price where cash changes hands. A quick check of completed auctions on ebay shows that the high dollar consoles rarely sell.

I've sold two restored consoles in the last 3 years. They were both around $450. The bases are reproduced but I heard the fit isn't great.

I typically try to buy busted ones for $100-$150 & they're usually missing a few pieces in the rear. It takes a good 20 hours to peice them back together solidly & they don't look too great on the inside. (I fiberglassed the inside)

Sometimes it takes more than money to get a console!

I have several 4spd consoles set aside for myself that are not for sale. I had someone from Dallas pestering me to sell him one and he made a $1,000 offer which I turned down. He is aware of how deep I am into 66 442's and called me and offered a 66 400 cid running takeout engine for a console. That did the trick! Couple of days later he had a console and I have another engine.

Joe, I wasnt confused at all. Those prices are what the sellers were selling them for, not what they sold for. Most of the prices came from parts dealers. What a 40+ year old part is actually worth depends on what someone is willing to pay for it. I would be willing to bet that there are people out there that need a pristine 4spd console to complete a restoration that would pay $1000
