67 W30 4.33 rear end option code needed

What was the "G" option code as it appeared on the window sticker for the W30 4.33 rear end?

Trick question. The 4.33 P-type rear would not be shown on the window sticker.

I have a copy of a 67 W-30 window sticker that I bought from the original owner. In fact it was sold new @ Steel City Olds, the same dealer my car was sold from. I had to look @ it to see and it has the G89 code for the 4.33 rear axle. Are you saying the 67 W-30 window stickers with G89 4.33 codes are O type?

Good question. What is the description and is there a charge for it? All O-Type performance rears were extra charge. If a rear was not an extra charge, it wasn't listed generally. But all '67 W30s were supposed to be P-types. I have heard that some were O-types, but I've never seen one documented.

G89 Performance Axle-4.33

No mention of price.

Interesting. I did dig up another '67 W30 window sticker that listed the 3.90 gears the same way. "Performance Axle", no price.
So considering a 4.33 O-Type would be an extra cost item, it is safe to say your 4.33 would be a P-type. Must be a W30 thing as other '67 other '67s with P-types don't have the rear gears listed.

Thanks Mike.

Btw no charge performance axles and expressway axles were listed on the window sticker.
