I'll try to make anything if it's not available. That's the case with bezels for a 1967 442. I took a pair of Cutlass bezels with the notch and welded them in and had them re-anodized. They turned out pretty good except for the welds which are a little cloudy.

You can make some coin doing this, especially if you price them below originals. I would definitely make some feature to tell them from originals.

 

The obvious welds separate them from originals. There are no high quality originals out there to price against and that's the reason I tried this.

You're doing it right my friend. These look excellent. It's akin to making a really good copy of a dual snorkel air cleaner. The ones you can buy, the repops are 500+ dollars. Or, you make a great one yourself. Good on you. This is what Hot Rodding is all about.
