67 442 video

This is a neat video about a 67 442 with W30 option. Any comments on the tach?

The car is a 4bbl car. Lots of other things are reproduction or incorrect on this car. Love to see the data plate on this one.

Drop dead Beautiful car, never heard 442 meaning 4 bbl, 4 speed, 2 doors?.The owner isn’t real sharp on his own car for sure..Is it a true w30? For such a beautiful car I am surprised the dash was such an amateur job of restoration..looks like they spray painted it silver and called it good..nothing more beautiful than a dead *** straight black 442.. awesome

The ducts are above and below the turn signal housings in the grill.

The 1966-67 W30 engines used the 308/308 deg cam, not the 328/328 cam used on the 68-70 motors. The milder cam produced more vacuum, so power brakes were not excluded in those years.

Here's a road test of a 1967 W30 from the Oct 1967 issue of High Performance Cars. Note that it has power brakes (also UHV ignition).

Very nice looking car but not a perfect representation of even a non W30 442! Easy to spot items such as incorrect pin stripe, incorrect tail pipes, aftermarket tach in place of clock in the dash, non chrome oil filler cap on W30! And the caretaker was not well prepared as he stated a bunch of bogus crap. Still, a beauty of a car and a nice walk around.

Couple of Chevy guys. Pretty car, lots not right. The tach in the middle was a common thing.
