Not sure what you are looking for, but I believe this Chevy piece (you will see as correct repro for various mid-60s models) is very close to the factory open element 442 air cleaner as used on 4 speed cars circa 66-67:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/65-67-Corvet...item19c8a54e4d

Main difference is the bent fitting on the base, which can be removed and the hole plugged. It will accept the 442 pie plate and retainer.

Air Cleaner

If the picture is what you already have, I would keep it and have it rechromed as I don't think any one make a replacement.

Problem with re-chroming is I'm not sure its possible to re-create the "satin-chrome" factory appearance. I've seen nice re-chrome jobs, but they always seem to be "shiney-chrome". Alternative is finding a super-nice original piece, but not sure those come up for sale too often, and when they do, $$$.

Year One has one that has the correct base for close to the same price.

If your car is an automatic, the open element one Year One has is for a straight shift 442. The picture you have is an automatic 442 cleaner.

Couple years back I was in the market for an original air cleaner assembly (base and lid) for my stick '67. I called Year One and was told it was no longer available, rather just the lid (assembly was still in the catalog at the time...not sure it is online any longer). Could be they offer it again, though could not find it just now.

Originals were "flash" chromed.

well my car is a 4 speed car so I need to be looking for the open element style.
I am a lot more familiar with the 70-2 cars and have a lot to learn about this car.

They must have got them again because they are in their current catalog. You could call them for availability. I just sold an OEM open element cleaner with a re-chromed top for $300.

Ogden Chrome has what they call brushed chrome which would look pretty close to the stock look.
