65 cutlass odometer not working

Hello looking for some guidance on how to go about getting the odometer out for repair. Speedo is working so its not the cable or tranny gear. Do I have to pull the whole dash out or can I remove just the cluster out the back it looks tight back there. Any ideas would be helpful.

I've only removed the pod with the complete dash off. I don't know enough about it to say if you can or can't accomplish that. I do have a dash that's fairly complete in the garage. If I can help with any photos of the backside let me know.
