Question 62 AC compressor mounting

Does anyone have the p/n for an AC Compressor mounting bracket for a 62 or 63 V8? Maybe someone has an actual bracket? It appears that using the 55-61 AC compressors is becoming impossible due to lack of rebuilders and parts so hoping to convert my older car to an A6 ( '62-63 style)! Thanks all.

Assuming this is a 394, the following illustrations and parts lists may help.
The is no guarantee that any of these items will fit on a 1958 engine however.
In fact, I would bet against it.

Thanks for the assist for sure. I'll digest and see what I can learn. Very much appreciated. My hope is that , since block on the 394 and my 371 are similar, and accessory drive all keeps spinning items in same basic spots, that I can use the 62 stuff along with custom brackets where needed. Not sure I'll get that lucky but it appears I have little choice unless I scrap the AC entirely.

The key is in group 9.171. They made packages to update from 5 cylinder to 6 cylinder compressors, but only for '59, '60 and '61.

Looking at those pictures, it looks like that " kit " could be made by someone talented at metalwork,

Thanks you Charlie! I will likely start collecting parts to see what I can come up with. I'm hoping to find a 2-groove A6 slave that I can use to start mocking it all up.....the kit you pointed out is very interesting to me for sure! Kind of interesting that it does not seem to apply to the '58.....but I'm betting that the engine-side stuff is close enough that I can work with it.

I wonder if anyone out there has a dead or old 2-groove A6 that I can buy? (new "good" rebuilt ones are $600+ so I hate to go that route before I've made it all ready to go!

thanks again!

I have the original A6 two groove compressor from my '63. (I didn't turn it in for a core when I bought a rebuilt)
I won't sell it, but you may borrow it if you pay shipping both ways.
PM me for details.

62 Starfire ac brackets

I made my own because the original brackets would not fit newer compressors.
