588 and 725 on the posi carrier what are they?

588 and 725 on the posi carrier what are they?

I have two posi units without gears. One has 588 the other has 725 cast into it......Could you help identify them and value......thanks Lee

1970 442 w-30 convt 4 speed

507olds emailed me this a couple days go i hope this helps

Here is the lsit of all of the Oldsmobile 12-bolt posi carriers,with the casting numbers,and what they fit:

#673 = 2:56/2:78,28-spline
#671 = 3:08/3:23,28-spline **also fits the new Richmond gears,3:42/3:90**
#588 = 3:42/3:91/4:33/4:66/5:00,28-spline
#672 = 3:42/3:91/4:33/4:66/5:00,31-spline **These came in late-67/68 OAI-equipped cars.**
