Nice looking '53!
It's best to get your original radiator recored. I've found it's best to find a shop that does radiator work on large diesel trucks. Years ago I had my radiator for a '53 Ninety Eight with A/C recored. The shop found that heater core material designed for semi trucks was the best match for the core. It had the correct honeycomb look to it, too.
