which 455 valve cover gaskets, motor mounts?
which 455 valve cover gaskets, motor mounts?
All: My limited 'puter skills prevented a search, so i'll put this out, thereby showcasing my lack of knowledge of ....well, most things..
455 Engine is originally from a '75 wagon, built up modestly (sorry, no specifics) but with a somewhat radical cam. Definitely not a racer, but probably more torque than stock.
Engine has low miles since install 17 years ago. Occasional driving, with some long trips, e.g. OCA Nats.
Small oil leak- suspect valve cover gaskets..
Also may have a broken motor mount..
1. Which type/brand valve cover gaskets should I use, if it matters?
2. Is there a choice for type/strength motor mounts? if so, which is preferable?
Hoping to get her to Bowling Green this year.
Thanks for all input.

Can’t go wrong with felpro, however the quality of the install is far more important than the type of gasket. Make sure the sealing surfaces are clean and flat, don’t over torque the bolts.
Stock replacement engine mounts, or aftermarket solid mounts. If you beat on the car, fabricate a limiting strap to keep from tearing up the mounts.

Anchor 2328 mounts seem like the stock answer for those.
Felpro gaskets..Rockauto shows a cork, a rubber 3/32 (old version), and a 11/64 rubber.
my brother the wrench is not thrilled with cork, but is the thicker rubber the way to go, to be sure, even though they're advised for 'more uneven surfaces'?
