455 oil pan

Ive looked at the oil pan offered by fusick and wonder if this is any better than some of the other vendors out there.since it comes in black and would need to be painted to match my 455. i have a milidon factory replacement pan on my 72 350 and although its decent im not impressed considering a nearly 200.00 price tag.i have also seen many vendors with pans well under 100.00.Is this a get what you pay for thing,or are there some real differences in quality .any other recomendations?

For the stock style stamping, I betcha they're all identical.
There are real and significant differences in the various deep pans because each company makes their own modifications, but the stock stamping? Nah. And all those deep pans start from the standard stock stamping.

The Fusick pan is good. It has the correct drain plug location in the bottom & the baffle in it just like the factory ones. There are cheaper ones out there that have an angled drain plug on the side of the sump. If you're looking for a "correct" factory style pan Fusicks is the way to go.

I bought a gold anodize stock style oil pan from Summit for my 68 350 Olds . Would be the same for a 455. Looks great and fit is perfect.
It was under a $100, I believe it was $65 plus there add on's.

"I" would be looking for an original GM pan from a core engine.

I had been looking for an original pan for a while but anything decent and the seller was asking too much for my liking .I ordered the pan from fusick only to find out it was going to "be a while before receiving it"so i scrapped that idea and will order the summit pan .I had a couple friends lined up to put things together and reinstall the motor this weekend but the delay from fusick messed that up.we will see how it all PANS out.
