442 with spokes
just wanted to share with the forum the 442 that I have been working on.
I had never seen one with the spokes....I think they certainly give it a vintage look....
thanks to all who have helped with parts and advice so far....!

Wow Ted! You mst be working on the car 24/7. I've never seen one go back together so fast. Looks good. I like the Wires. Separates it from the crowd. I think the wires would look great with a set of narrow white walls.

Looking at Randy C's 442, the thin white walls look good too......ummmm
Have two sets of rims and tires for the car?
I have put a lot of time in on this car, and may of played hooky a few times in the past year Steve!haha
Got the spokes from a CO member, and were in really good shape....just had to put them on.

I think it looks great, and agree with the pin white walls! The whitewalls will give it a true day one look....
I just bought a set of pin white walls to put on my car with the chrome SS1's and cant wait to get them mounted...

The "white line" tires look good on that era of car with the right 'caps and I do believe they look great with the wire wheel covers. Both came that way on my car when it was new (see window sticker).
I have a '71 Corvette that I also put on the "white line" tires with the optional deluxe wheel covers and I like it a lot. But it's the only way I would have the white lines on that car, with those 'caps. With the trim rings and center cap on that rally wheel, I would have to go with either a white raised letter tire or a blackwall.
I had forgotten all about "white line" tires until I was restoring the Corvette back in 2003 and saw that it was an option (Chevy called them "white stripe" tires). Once I looked at the different wheel cover/tire combos, I had to go with the "white stripe" and the deluxe wheel cover. It's a combination you rarely see (just like an Olds of the '68-'69 era with the "simulated wire wheels". And when I found the window sticker for my '68, I went with the wire wheel covers and the "white line" tires. BUT...I also have a set of red line tires on SSI wheels...I'd have to say the car looks more "sportier" with the red lines and SSI wheels!
