442 LED tail light upgrade

I recently up graded the tail / brake light bulbs to LED for a faster response when braking. The quicker response of the LED gives the tail gating motorist almost 20 feet of additional stopping distance when you slam on your brakes. This can be the difference between them screeching up to your back bumper or the screeching to your front bumper! I purchased these from superbrightled.com. I also changed all my side markers. The color is pure, but they retain their stock appearance, only better. Here is a look with one side changed and the hazards blinking to show the speed difference. I also added them to my 427.

I added a 3rd brake light on my rear window and it's an led bar from a mazda 6 that totalled out at work . Works awesome but my friends think its funny that the led's kick on faster than the bulbs lol. I like the projection light for the front lights with the halo like on the bmw's a good friend of mine has them on his 9 sec 71 442 and they look killer .

I will have to get a pic next time I'm over there . They are called angel eyes. They are not projection sorry but they do take a modern 9004 bulb. He said he bought them on ebay.

halo lights

I have seen these on ebay and wondered if they worked well. I would LOVE for someone to post some pics on that conversion. I am just afraid of spending the dough when there is zero return policy on them and I have never seen this done on an older car before.
