40th Annual St Ignace Auto Show
Though you guys may enjoy some pics of this years show. It is such a charming area for a show right on Lake Huron with Mackinaw Island in view. I've been going every year for more than 20 years.

This Chevie was gorgeous. The owner said the paint was 30 years old.

I worked on this car for three years before it was released. This particular one was owned but a super nice man.

This show draws a very unique mix of cars. If you've never been it should be on your bucket list.

The below vehicles were part of the display GM puts on there every year.
They probably made these wheels at the Tech Center, but they are an example of what I've suggested for years: Just morph up a stock 14" or 15" wheel to a 16" or 17". I wish someone would to this with the Olds wheels. These stock design Vet wheels are 19"

Yes. Father's day (Homecoming) is always the third Sunday of June; The St Ignace auto show is always the last weekend in June. It could be said that both correspond with the summer solstice or as Latin would put it equal day and night.

Great show, and a great place to be. The show was, and still might be, the largest antique auto show that is free admission for the spectators.
I lived in St. Ignace from 1988 to 1999, and owned the Straits View Motel on West US 2. I sold it, and moved south to Battle Creek, when my wife was pregnant with our first son.
I go back there often, and still have a sister who lives there. I'll be there next week.
St. Ignace is the third oldest settlement in the US, older than Detroit. Lots of Michigan history in the area.

The show you're to which you're referring is Antiques on the Bay and is primarily for factory stock vehicles. It's held the third weekend in June and is a much smaller show.

Most people don't know that the entire upper peninsula had not a single traffic light until recent times. There is still only one in St. Ignace. The UP has it's own aura and charm that must be experienced in person, especially west of Munising. My favs are Copper Harbour (the fresh air quality is something you must experience), Second Sand Beach park in L'anse, and Presque Isle which possesses the largest preserve of virgin Hemlock in the world.
