4 speed case replacement?

With the rebuilding of the transmission to find a 45 mph and above vibration, I have discovered a busted ear on the case. What is every ones thoughts on the beefed up auto gear cases or are the new made original looking ones just as good with the newer metals being used to make them? Matt

I would just have the original one welded. A good weld shop can weld them stronger than original.

Hi,

I have a Autogear M22W and no complaints, though my understanding is the case is thicker so if you have a M22 the gear noise will be reduced.

I recently saw recast cases the other day, but not sure on quality as never seen in person.

A welder should de able to repair the original.

Regards,
