350 thermostat housing

350 thermostat housing

i just got a new thermostat water housing and it doesnt line up is this normal? or should u bend it?

Looks like you could probably bend it enough to make it work. I bet it was made in China.

X2. Why did you even think you needed a new one? The cast iron t-stat housings never go bad. A little sand blast and paint and it will look new.

is it normal? Probably "normal" in the sense that one expects parts made from Chinesium to fit like that. Is it "right"? Hell no.

Bending to suit will collapse the tube in the middle of the bend. Can you get your money back and LEAVE A REVIEW so others don't buy 'em?

Use the blue one. De-rust it, it'll be fine. I have dozens and dozens of them things. Used to have an NOS one even. Don't put up with new *crap*.

X2, That's what I do with all the ones I pick at the boneyard. They fit and they don't leak either.
