3/4 mark on rally temperature gauge.
I never had to worry about temperature so i need to know what the 3/4 mark is in temperature. i changed the coolant and am burping it and there is quite a bit of pressure. I hold at the 1/4 mark and slowly go up to this point so is it around 180 or higher after 15 to 20 minutes of idling only with a house fan on at 1200 idle.

https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...clutch-136079/ well the season is almost over and another issue along these line crept up. i have a painles ewlectric fan kit 30301 no. 185 0n and 170 off. I HAVE NO extra resiustance I TESTED IT. The fans wil not come on at 205 or the 3\4 mark on the gauge i TESted it with a meat thermometer it works well i let it get to almost hot to make sure of fan operation. hot is almost 222. the car burped hard at 220 when shut off like overheating and yes the thermostat works it is a 180 and the hose was hard. then the fans came on when shut off. nnno1 will edelbrock head warp at 225 to 230 for ahalfoff this temp. no2 what the hell the fans will knot kick on when over 185 temp. any idieas guys the resistance is normal it is properly hooked up and worked very well for years. i had coolant spill over the thermo switch so i replaced it and the resistor for safety and called painless already. I AM BAFFLed. this is strange.
