The 2019 Pre-Rona to Now Price Conversion Factor

I have compared some asking and sale prices now to what I would think they would have gone for before all this mess, and my empirically derived conversion factor is 2.5.

An original 67 442 convertible in good shape would go for about 20 grand back then; now they want 50 grand for it, for example.

We can adjust this number, it's just hard for me to know what things are going for now because I am used to 95-2010 numbers, so I have to stop myself and think that, in today's economy, that price is now 2.5X the old price (or so.)

It's crazy. Not substainable. It will crash.

I Love my Oldsmobile's. These crazy insane prices are foolish. Get ready for your bath.

Usually, hot rods go for half of what's invested. Maybe my daughter can get some cash out of my rolling bucket o' bolts when I kick it? It's not going anywhere until then. Thankfully, it's about as done-ish as I want it.

Exactly. I magine the street rod you could get for 150k and up. And guess what. You can actually drive and enjoy the car. It isn't a garage floor plaque...
