2009 OCA National Meet

The 09 National Meet information is out in Journey With Olds and on the OCA website.

http://www.oldsclub.com/NationalMeet...ats09_info.htm

Figured we should address this early because every year someone gets their feelings hurt a month before the show, when they find out you have to be an OCA member to show a car at the National Meet.

You must be a current paid up member of the Oldsmobile Club of America to show a car at the OCA National Meet. You must also preregister your show car.

It's that simple.

Far as I know and based on past experience, you can come to visit and look at the cars without being an OCA member. But you can't just show up with a car and expect to get it on the showfield. If you ever get involved in planning one, you'll understand why.

I made my hotel reservations today. I'll probably hold off a bit on the show registration because I am honestly not yet sure what I'm taking. Right now I'm leaning toward driving the Gray Ghost as a non show entry.

So who else is planning the trip?

I would like to go and take the old girl home for a visit...I know the wife would like to go...have a local meet at the same time...Will have to wait a bit, spring time, and see if the car has the legs...only 50K original but long trips make me nervous

I may go as a spectator for a day, my wife had a fit when she saw the "Ladies Activities" on the flyer. Like ladies don't have their own cars or aren't just as involved with them, no shopping or wine and cheese tours for her.

I will be attending. I had my hotel reservation since just after the 07 show - did not want to get shut out again. I am trying to get the work done on my '66 98 convertible in time. Installing A/C, cruise control and cornering lights. I took my '66 98 Holiday sedan to the last three. I hope to get to meet some of you guys there. Bruce
