2009 Mid-Ohio OCA Chapter car show photos

I was at the Mid-Ohio Chapter's annual car show in Columbus today and took a few photos. Have a look. If anyone who posts on here was in attendance and sees their car, let me know, and I'll mention that it's yours.

You're right! The gray one is a '69. My bad. It's fixed.

Beautiful cars and great turnout!

Retired Zone director's choice goes to the Cotner Bevington ambulance!

My car is the green 68 442 with the gold accents. I see you got the picture before I placed the original air cleaner on it. I think it was the only 68 there. How about that 69 W30 (black) car had less then 35000 actual miles on it and all original except for new body paint. I talked to the older fellow that owned it and he picked it up at a estate auction several months ago for the sum of $7500.00!! The car was totally unmolested and the interior was like new.

The $7500.00 part made me want to puke.

Glad you got some pictures as I forgot my camera. That ambulance is a riot.

Thanks for taking the time to put that all together for us. Great pics, and great details. Next best thing to being there.

Cool. I actually did think it was one of the nicest looking cars there. I'll mention that it's yours on the picture page.

If I remember correctly from my quick reading of their literature, I think this car was at first a hearse and then later converted into an ambulance. Think about it. Most ambulances are white and red as sort of a red-cross color scheme to indicate aid and sustenance. Hearses tend to be dark-colored, somber-looking vehicles in keeping with the mood of the event in which they are participating. This car LOOKs a lot more like a hearse than an ambulance, but it wouldn't take much to convert from one to the other as both are designed to carry human bodies in the horizontal position.

It was not unusual for a small town to have a dual purpose ambulance/hearse. When in resue mode turn on the siren.

I wonder what documents of authenticity came with that W30. It was a fine looking car (looking at the photo). We should all keep our eyes open for estate auctions - that had to be one in a million!

By the way, your car looked very fine.

Those were great shots. I must have spend a good 30 minutes looking at the show through your camera lens. I especially liked the 50 Olds, as well as the W30.

Thanks for taking the time & sharing.

Nice pics! Any chance I could save some of them for use in my 2010 Oldsmobile calendar project?

>I< don't have any problem with you using as many of them as you want. But I don't own the cars IN the photos, and I can't speak for the owners of these cars. I don't know if that's even relevant, but you should at least obscure the license plates, I would think.

I can send you privately the original jpg files as they are much higher in resolution. I lowered the resolution and file size so they would load faster on a web page. I think you would want the highest resolution possible if you're making prints.

And it positively had new redlines, oil filter, oil and spark plugs. So much for the 100% original. I guess I will have to reword my original statement to 99.9% original. How can I be so naive to believe what an owner tells me.

Yes obsure the plates, I would say that when you display at a public event you are of the public domain.
