1990 Cadillac Seville?

I am looking at a 1990 Cadillac Seville with a view to buying it, I understand it has the 180bhp 4.5 liter engine.
What is your opinion of these cars?. Are they an avoid at all costs money pit? Are they prone to any major issues?
I'm after a smooth quiet comfortable car, performance is a secondary consideration,

Look for oil leaks, if the rear seal is leaking the engine needs to be removed to fix. The 4.5 is supposed to be a much better engine than the 4.1. A friend of mine had a 95 Deville which was a very nice dependable car, but he sprung a leak at the rear seal then sold the car rather than pay to fix it. They supposedly are prone to leaks there. At that age all the electrical do dads are potential problems as any similar car would be. Since it is part of a collection it has probably been well cared for.

Thanks Destructor. It seems the engine does have an oil leak. How big a deal is it to take the engine out?
I've changed a few big lumps, Maybe the toughest was a 350 Olds in a fwd Buick Riviera, but it wasn't beyond me.
