Also these car's came with the 3800 when equipped with the GT PACKAGE.
What problems if any can I expect, if any from this version of the 3800?
The car I am looking at has 112,00 on it!

Are you sure it is not the XC Special Edition? Back in 87-88 my parents bought one brand new, white with ground effects package, 4dr, white aluminum wheels, sun/moon roof and it was a great vehicle that we sold well after 100k miles. No issues I can remember, the 3800 engine was unbelievably powerful, yet you wouldn't know it was running at idle. Great for shore trips (75-80 mph at around 2k on the tachometer in overdrive, I believe). Power throughout the whole range of rpm and gearing (ours was auto). I took 3 friends on ski trip once and they couldn't believe I could smoke the (front wheel drive) tires easily and whenever needed. Great looking car and overall a very smooth and powerful ride). What is funny is later I bought a New Plymouth Laser with 2.0 liter motor 4 valve per cylinder 4 cylinder (16 valve), and it had only top end power and couldn't get out of its own way off the line, yet the 3800 olds had the same gas mileage and could smoke the tires all day and run circles around it.
I see the one you are looking at has a "GT" badge as you said it was a GT... Didn't know Olds made a GT package, but now I do (thought only Ford and Toyota did)... In any case, probably the same 3800 rocket motor as the ciera XC, which in my opinion was an extremely well balanced and powerful, reliable motor.
