just throwing this out there im looking at a 1981 cutlass supreme running and driving can get it for a decent price will post pics and details in the classified section if i get it .not sure how popular these models are? will update in a few days

 

Make sure to check the rear frame rails closely for rot.

 

i looked them over real good when i originally looked at the car and they are in great shape as is the body,never been painted .interior could use some help but overall a decent car .has a 260 v8 i think .not much for power

 

If you think an 81 is slow with a 260, you should try a 75 with one. My very first car was a 1975 Cutlass S with a 260 and that thing topped out at 70 mph. At least the 80 I had buried the 85 mph speedo with no issues. Luckily swapping in a 350 into the 80 was easy and came only 2 weeks after purchase. Then the parade of blown rear ends followed.

 

lol. i guess it would be complete drivetrain swap including some suspension upgrades or try to flip it as is .i have a couple days to think about it .thanks for the advice
