1972 Cutlass Supreme Clock

My 1972 Supreme does not have a clock but has the blank cover installed. If I can find an original style, I would like to install one. I was wondering if there should be a connector for the lights on the clock somewhere or should I just pick up the power from the headlight switch or somewhere else? Also if anyone has a clock fof sale please let me know.
Thanks in advance.

Will

There will be both orange (for power) and grey (for illumination) connectors on pigtails in the dash harness just waiting to be plugged into a factory clock (or Tick-Tock-Tach).

Clocks are pretty easy to come by. I'm sure more than a few members have one.

I have a nice one but when I tested it it did not work. Post on the parts wanted for a nice working clock or treat yourself to a set of rally gauges. Al

Al I have a friend that can fix them. Let me know what you want for it, I'll have him repair it and get in touch with Will.

Or Will you might get one cheaper in the parts wanted as Al suggested. Either way Al if you want to part with it let me know. The mechanism burns out when the battery slowly dies.

Hi Zeeke. We've done some business before. Was it cruise control parts? The clock I have is really clean in condition. I would sell it for $80. I think I paid close to that. I can send a pic to Will if he wants to post his email. Al

If the clock doesn't work, try taking it to your local jewelry/watch repair shop. That's what I did for mine, and $40 later I was able to reinstall my original (now working) clock.

I would but all my cars have a rally pack so the clock is part of the tach. I bought this clock at a swap meet because of its condition. I might get it repaired. It should be doing duty in someone's car. 👍
