1971 Cutlass value?
1971 Cutlass value?
Sorry I do not have any pics, but can anyone give me a ballpark value on a '71 cutlass supreme 2 dr htp with 350-4 and M-20, both numbers matching? My opinion of the condition is that it is a #3. Has about 130K on it and ps but can you believe manual brakes?
Without pics, estimating a condition is really hard - even with your assessment. Yes, I can believe manual brakes. Both JL2 power disc brakes and J50 power drum brakes were options.
350 4bbl was the standard engine for that model/year, but M20 is a nice option. Sounds like this is a bare bones car from your description?

Oooh. My ears just perked up!
1) I sold a #s matching '72 350/M20 Supreme - rust free NM car but needed other body work and paint, rallye pack, buckets & console, disconnected A/C - about five years ago for appx. $4,000. It was a solid car that ran and drove, but it needed lots of cosmetic work and other help.
2) Color combo? Bench or buckets/console?
I'd like to get more info and pics for my V Code registry page [350/M20 section] at a minimum. Thanks.

Vette442, it is blk/blk int,buckets/console, all together and IMO paint is abt a 10 footer. AC is hooked up ,no idea if it blows cold or not. Car is complete and a nice driver as it sits right now. Has a set of Magnum 500s on it right now.
I can get you some pics but it is a '71, not a '72........does that matter?

I'm recording 70-72 4 speeds in the registry, especially Supremes. A 71 is just fine. ; )

Owned by me about 6 years ago and came my way via Oklahoma...my eyes were bigger than my insides, as I recall the motor was tired and the trans linkage jammed about every other shift, and it has some significant rear quarter work (especially viewed from inside the trunk.) However, it was a factory ebony car, factory 4 speed and i am sure in much better running condition now...Always liked it. Just did not have the money, space or time to do it right...Good luck iy nab it!

not going to happen if is a bondo barge.......trying to take a look @ it but not real close and no return email yet.
At least this explains why it's still available. Problem is, I cannot afford a nice one.
Also found a 69 grand prix with a factory 3 speed, 428 and 3.90 posi........but not going for it..if anyone else is interested let me know and i'll forward the link. It's out west.

If its not rotten or hit hard and has little to no bondo, in true #3 condition...IMO its a 10-12K car all day but only if its dry, rot free and retains most major matching components. If it needs paint and major component rebuilds it goes down from there say to a 4-5k car.
I've had 72 1971 Cutlasses on my site since its started, averaging 2.4 of them a month. Taking all the data into effect, I'm getting an average value of them being about 12k, with a max asking price of 26k and a min of 1k. Of course, condition will definitely play a part it in.
You can play around with all this data at the link below.

There is also a graph that gets displayed where you can see a thumbnail of the car with the that asking price. I hope that information helps.

Cool feature, thanks.
Thanks. Just one of the tools I've been playing around with. I also built a heatmap tool to where you can see what states various cars are usually posted. Rarity may also effect your price.
