1970 Ram Air hood on '69

I have a 1969 442. What part do I need to allow me to run a 1970 hood? Latch?/latch and brace?
will the grill and trim still line up?.
Thanks

It would bolt on with your ‘69 tang, but you wouldn’t use the center latch. It would be held down only with the hood pins unless you did some fabrication/improvisation. If your buying a Thornton hood, I think that he may offer one with a ‘69 latch provision.

Mine has been that way for 20 years. OK? No not really, I wouldn't recommend it. The one time you forget and drive without latching them would be a huge catastrophe! But mine has been that way a long time. Is that called temporarily permanent or permanently temporary?

The factory hood pins on the W25 hood are not designed to keep the hood closed. They are for appearance. The feeble spring pin that engages the latch on the core support is easily bent - as anyone who has had the pin slide out of place will find out when they need to bend it to get the hood open.

is there a better, lockable, aftermarket option? Would I just need to swap out mu 69 latch for a 70?

Thanks guys
