1970 Cutlass Convertible
Who buys a 1970 Cutlass convertible, strips the paint, buys a bunch of parts from Year One, and then parks it in the yard for over eight years? Well I just picked one up like that in Atlanta. Fortunately for me the seller stored the parts for it in a dry shed.
It is literally a basket case. It took two trips to get it all home. I rented a Uhaul pick-up along with a box trailer last Friday to get all the parts, returning Sunday to get the car itself. The frame has been blasted and painted. It needs to be cleaned up again but it wouldn't take much to do. The doors and fenders are in great shape. The car came with both the bucket seats and the bench seat (it's a bench seat car). The engine isn't original, the seller sourced an engine with #5 heads, I'll run the date codes and numbers later. It also came with new interior door panels (white), new carpet (black), juke, bushings, new 442 sway bar, Moog springs, KYB shocks, etc.
The car is restorable but to me its' not worth the effort. Plus I already have to many projects. So I'll be posting the car and many of the parts here shortly in the parts for sale.
It's great finding these cars but it's a shame to find them being neglected.

Here's an update on the car. I have but a few parts left from it. It took only a few weeks to sell off most of the car to those in need. I recently lowered the prices in my ads in order to move the few remaining parts. I need to finance my next purchase.
