1970 442 overflow bottle

Do you have to relocate the washer bottle on a big block 1970 442 if you are going to install a radiator overflow bottle ?

Ive seen the washer bottle still in the factory position with an overflow bottle. I guess it would depend on what overflow bottle you use. Are you installing a recovery type system, or just an overflow catch bottle

Just curious, are you filling your radiator to the correct level. I have a 70 SX, and it never looses coolant. Only reason for my catch can is that the racetrack requires it.

was keeping it near the top. Seems to be less prone to spit up when it’s a couple inches down from the top. Not sure what the correct level is. ???

Should be about 3 inches below the cap. If you overfill it will spit out the excess due to expansion. The factory tanks have a Fill To indicator on the outside.

Howd you get that picture to load? I tried the same picture and I kept getting an error that I was over the allotted size.

What's your file size and format? This is a JPG that's 1.0M.
